2022 / 93+ puntos The 2022 VO Versión Original had a longer élevage (22 months in 300-liter barrels) because it was quite tannic from the conditions of the year and because it also has some 10% Garnacha Tintorera in the field blend. It was produced with the grapes from two very old plots in the lieux-dits of Villegas and El Castro in Valtuille de Abajo, selected for the elegance they deliver. It's not easy to taste a 2022 red next to reds from 2023, as the two vintages are very different—2022 is more powerful, ripe and concentrated, and the 2023 are a lot more ethereal. This is an earthier wine with a little rusticity, and the tannins are still there. 1,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2025.Robert Parker The Wine Advocate / Luis Gutiérrez
