Another sparkling rosé produced with Mencía and Palomino grapes, the 2019 Gloc Mncia & Jerez is a blend of 70% Mencía and 30% Palomino from a slightly younger vineyard in the village of Valtuille that delivers lighter and fresher wines. It has a vinous profile, a cloudy pale red color and an earthy nose. It finished fermenting in bottle, where it matured with the lees for almost three years. It has a lot of acidity (Mencía has more acidity than Palomino), and the wine has more freshness, a funky touch and a serious and mineral mouthfeel. It is serious, dry and salinem, with polished acidity from the time in bottle. Different and characterful. 2,100 bottles produced. / Aug 10, 2023 / Luis Gutiérrez /
