Color cereza, borde violáceo.

2024 / 91 puntos I hadn't tasted the unoaked red from Toro in a while. We tasted the 2024 Dehesa Gago, from a year marked by late frost on April 23 and a very warm summer. But September was milder, and the total amount of rain was 430 liters, more than the average; so the harvest was from September 18 to October 1, with slowly lower yields but good health and surprisingly balanced and expressive wines. This is the more reductive of the wines we tasted this time, apparently a common thread in many 2024s, a characteristic of the year. It has nice fruit behind that, and it's juicy and primary and has very fine tannins. This comes in at 14% alcohol and has mellow acidity and good overall balance. 33,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2025 after six months in tank.Robert Parker The Wine Advocate / Luis Gutiérrez
