Color pajizo brillante.
Floral, hierbas de tocador, expresión frutal, varietal.
Frutoso, potente, sabroso, elegante.
The dry Moscatel de Alejandría 2014 Mountain Blanco is produced with purchased grapes cropped from a dry and warm year that raisinated the grapes on the vine. The wine fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured for nine months in tank. It's very dry and I found it very spicy and herbal, with aromas reminiscent of stinging nettle, more in the style of a Sauvignon Blanc than a floral Moscatel. There is great freshness on the palate so this would be fantastic with food. Maybe this is an odd vintage or I caught it in an awkward moment (Moscatel can be reductive in bottle), because it felt different but I liked it very much. Call me nuts, but it made me think of a wine from Didier Dagueneau! 13,100 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2015.
