Testoiro es un vino blanco con barrica elaborado por Bodegas Fedellos do Couto y acogido a la Denominación de Origen Ribeira Sacra.
Vino blanco producido con variedades autóctonas gallegas Doña Branca y Godello principalmente. Las uvas proceden de viñas plantadas sobre suelos de esquisto pizarroso y gneis.
Testoiro se elabora de manera artesanal, encubado al 80% sin despalillar y 20% prensado. Fermenta con levaduras autóctonas en barricas de roble y maceración durante 30 días. Posterior envejecimiento en barricas de roble francés usadas durante 8 meses.

2024 / 94-95 puntos The white 2024 Testoiro was produced with grapes from the lieu-dit Quinta de Soutipedre in Manzaneda in the Bibei Valley, approximately 50% Godello and 50% Dona Branca from old vines on slate soils. It was macerated with the skins, and as soon as it started fermenting, it was pressed and the juice finished fermenting with indigenous yeasts in barrels, where it matured with lees without bâtonnage for eight months. It has a slightly darker color and is a little closed, serious and austere. The 2024 whites have high acidity, close to seven grams (and around 12% alcohol), and that's possibly the reason why they didn't go through malolactic fermentation. The effect is an effervescent palate, vibrant and pungent. I tasted it one week before bottling, so the wine was ready and representative of the bottled wine.
