Ceibo es uno de los vinos que Xurxo Alba elabora fuera de su bodega Albamar en las Rías Baixas, en este caso en Valdeorras.
Vino blanco 100% Godello procedente de un único viñedo plantado en espaldera a una altitud de 500 metros sobre el nivel del mar, sobre suelos de pizarra. Fermenta con levaduras autóctonas y posterior crianza de 2/3 del vino en barricas de roble francés y 1/3 en depósito de acero inox durante 8 meses con sus lías finas.

The 2020 Ceibo is a white Godello from Valdeorras, from a three-hectare vineyard on slate soils in A Rua. It was destemmed and pressed, fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and then was transferred to 500-liter oak barrels to finish fermenting and age for eight months. It has notes of flowers and pollen, 13.5% alcohol and a round and gentle palate with integrated acidity and a bitter twist in the finish. The 2019 Ceibo was bottled a few days before I tasted it. The wine is harmonious and clean, varietal, a little shy at first and with a balsamic nose with notes of herbs, bay leaf, white flowers and pollen. The palate is round, showing the generosity the variety is able to do, velvety and lush, without excess. It's 13.5% alcohol with good acidity, all in place and in balance.
