2019 > 92 puntos
The golden colored, powerful and oxidative 2019 Mi Verdadejo has abundant spice and toasted notes, hints of smoke and very ripe yellow fruit and 14% alcohol after fermenting and maturing in French oak barrels for eight months. It has a Burgundian style and is round, lush, concentrated and a bit honeyed, with very spicy flavors and mellow acidity, with notes of straw, pollen and quince in the finish. 1,617 bottles produced.
2018 > 92+ puntos
The white Verdejo 2018 Mi Verdadejo now carries the Toro appellation and was produced with grapes from an ungrafted Verdejo plot on sand and gravel soils. He picked 2018 riper than 2017 and 2016, and the wine is quite powerful and still feels young. It has varietal character, like the wines from yesteryear, with notes of hay, straw and quince and a bitter twist in the finish. In this case, the wine was barrel fermented and aged and has power and freshness. 1,256 bottles produced.
