2020 > 93 puntos
The white 2020 Alejandra from Vizcarra was produced with Albillo Mayor grapes from the old vineyards from the family. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, concrete and barrel and matured in new and used 300- and 500-liter oak barrels and some concrete for one year. The wine has notes of apples and flowers, with integrated oak. It has a medium body with medium ripeness, reflected by the 13% alcohol, with very good freshness (pH 3.18), and it has a vibrant palate with fresh flavors, balanced and tasty. 3,850 bottles and 150 magnum were filled in February 2022.
2019 > 93 puntos
Once whites were allowed by Ribera del Duero people started bottling their wines, and this includes the 2019 Alejandra from Vizcarra. This is the second vintage, after some experimental bottlings. It was produced with Albillo Mayor grapes that fermented with indigenous yeasts and was raised in barrel and concrete eggs for one year to produce a wine with aging potential. It has a contained 13% alcohol and very good freshness, still marked by the élevage but with a vibrant palate with fresh flavors, balanced and tasty. 2,003 bottles were filled in February 2021. Issue 255 End of June 2021, The Wine Advocate
