Celsus es un vino tinto con crianza elaborado bajo la Denominación de Origen Toro, con uva Tinta de Toro 100%, por Bodegas Vetus del grupo Artevino.
Las uvas provienen de viñas prefiloxéricas plantadas en 1920. La crianza la ha pasado durante 14 meses en barrica nueva de roble francés.
Solamente se han elaborado 2.600 botellas.

2023 / 93 puntos The extremely young 2023 Celsus was produced from their vineyards—La Lola, which was planted in 1920 with Tempranillo and Garnacha, and El Nogal, which was planted in 1936 and is a new vineyard for this wine, starting in 2023. The blend contains around 10% Garnacha that was cofermented with the Tempranillo in open stainless steel vats. The wine matured for 12 months, with 65% of the volume in 500-liter French oak barrels and the rest in amphorae. It's serious, ripe and generously oaked. It has abundant, slightly dusty tannins that call for more time in bottle and/or powerful food. And it's not a shy red at 14.8% alcohol.
