Rojo picota de capa media-alta.
Aromas a fruta madura, fondo especiado, monte bajo y balsámicos.
Amplio y voluminoso. Largo con recuerdo a fruta madura y toffe.
2018 > 90 puntos
The 2018 Rupture is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot from their estate La Revilla, first produced in 2014 and sold as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León. It fermented with indigenous yeasts, had a soft vinification and matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% of them new. The wine surprised me with 15.2% alcohol but also with surprising freshness. It's herbal and balsamic but with notes of ripe berries and a toasty touch, turning more peppery and spicy with time in the glass. It's full-bodied and lush, with nice balance. Unusual. 2,400 bottles were filled in October 2020.
