Añada 2015 > 91 puntos > The 2015 Beltrán is a late harvest sweet white wine produced with Moscatel grapes. There are only a handful of bottles of this wine which is 14,83% alcohol and has 60 grams of unfermented sugar, which talk about the over-ripeness of the grapes when they were picked. The grapes come from young vines in Peña Caballera, from individual plants found intermixed with the reds, but the wine is probably marked by the process more than the place. It fermented in glass demijohns (52 liters) and was bottled, unfiltered and unfined, two years after the harvest. They have been experimenting with sweet wines since 2009, but this 2015 is the first to be released. It has some balsamic aromas reminiscent of bay leaf and a touch of condensed milk. The palate is sweet without excess. Only 120 bottles were filled in September 2017.
