lways the most elegant and ethereal and my favorite of the range, the 2016 La Danza del Viento La Isilla could very well be the finest vintage of this bottling and their best wine to date. This comes from a vineyard at 860 meters in altitude in Cadalso de los Vidrios on sandy soils that produce very elegant wines. They have been working to recover this vineyard, and in 2016 they still only produced 641 bottles from one 500-liter barrel where the wine matured for 13 months. It has the same profile as previous years, with an intoxicating mixture of flowers, wild berries and herbs; it's perfumed and elegant even if it feels young, a little shy and reticent and takes time to open up in the glass, but it's still all about finesse and detail. The palate has very fine tannins, with those chalky-like sensations that granite can sometimes provide. It's tasty and long, with great length. Irresistible. It was bottled in May 2018.
